We are an outdoor early years centre at Vogrie Country Park located between Gorebridge and Pathhead. Our base is within the walled garden of Vogrie park; however, we use the whole area of the park on a daily basis. 

Included in our nursery is a poly tunnel which provides shelter. In addition to that we have a Round House situated outside the walled garden which we can use for group work and extra shelter if needed. Within the walled garden area children grow vegetables all year round, which we use for our snacks and provide produce for our market stall which is situated in our car park. We also have a bee sanctuary, the children are actively involved supporting the beekeepers to look after the hives and collect the honey. We sell the honey produced by the bees. 

We are open 49 weeks of the year. We have a maximum of 56 places per day for 3-5 year olds. We offer two models of attendance – full time: 8 hours per day and 3 days per week over 49 weeks and term time only:  8 hours per day 2 days per week . All children are offered 2 snacks per day and a hot lunch which is provided by a local school kitchen. Our children come from across Edinburgh, the Lothian's and the Scottish Borders. Children spend all day outdoors. We deliver the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. We use the national benchmarks to assess children’s progress.
